Good variety of high-frame rate animation, spanning at least 3 different programs! Author's gotta be doing something right, to have looked this good ;)

Aw, thank you! :)
Aside from the slightly muffled audio, this animation was all over the merger story, in the best ways possible. Good work gents!
Chongo is my hero for having the lines recorded within an hour of me first reaching out to him. The unfortunate downside of the quick turnaround for this animation is that it had to be recorded on a cell phone. It's still a million times better than what I tried to record myself.
Thanks for the review!
Who the man, MisterHerbal is! I was hoping that revive potion would be a bit of a hook! And then you carried it a few steps further, and I wholeheartedly approve. Meh, just under 2 minutes, but hells bells, I'm satisfied with that... okay I'll bite, what else would you have added?
Haha hey man! Really, they were little things that could have added to the sketch. Here's some I can remember (I threw away the sticky note with all the ideas)
-The Ghost hunter's Glass eye could be a tech/paranormal-weapon/scanner etc...
-The revival potion could have cuased some serious reaction to the wooden floor, perhaps giving it some form of life?
-The ghost could have fucked around with the hunter more, give him more frights and taking the piss out of him by changing his form, imitating him, pissing him off. This would have given the battle a more powerful effect.
..and to end the list here's a fucked up plot twist :
In the last scene, at the clinic, we don't see the doctor's face, until we zoom out and realize the doctor was the hunter and shoots the woman in her tummy, killing both the babies then last shot after the credits is the ghost hunter in his Cloning room. This motherfucker is a sophisticated paranormal hunter and is more advanced than we think, he creates clones too and sends them on missions like these to get rid of ghosts like mook the spook.
I had much more stuff in my head while I was creating this but only managed to do much. Oh well!
Thanks for watching man!
I saw this on your Vimeo page not that long ago, and was impressed with the animation as well as the plot, which, like a sad tale often does, drags you along for the ride to the bitter end.
Plots like this rarely go over well, but I think it was worth the risk: I ultimately liked it, even though most hunters wouldn't have dared to shoot a non-threatening bear so close to a minor.. maybe he didn't see him? Ah well, an O Henry ending always needs a hook at the end, and I felt this whole piece turned out just fine.
I'm glad you're posting your work to NG, you made a fan today!
Thanks man! I appreciate the feedback. I think my main fear with the ending was that I didn't want it to be cheap or sentimental. The introduction of the hunter character actually came way late in production (I had a different ending planned that was super corny). I wanted the end to be a little more cynical, but also wrap up the reign of the bear as father. I also meant for it to be like a weird injection of reality having this outside guy come in with no understanding of what this family had been through. I'm sure everything about the way the hunter shoots the bear is inaccurate though, like you said. I like to imagine that he was maybe acting in a rash way because he thought the kid was in imminent danger and wasn't tuned to the mood between the two. Or something :)
Thanks again for watching!!
Nicely done dude! I guess there could've been a few more bells and whistles to click on while on board, but it looks great!
Yeah, I planned that each screen could break when clicked on. But it didn't really worked out ;) thanks for the comment!
I'm very happy with this, especially the visual depth and camera angles. Cinematic masterpiece!
i really tried to bring something new to the table, so i came up with this camera idea after watching some SFM videos, im glad you like it
Congrats on earning the Daily 4th! Frankly, I was a little nervous watching this, at first. Now that I've seen the intro episode, I realize that this is a far greater epic, barely out of the gate.
Okay, I'm in, let's get this party started!
Haha, love this comment! I'll put some more up real soon, maybe do another one tmw, I hope I can keep the party rolling & somewhat epic
Pretty ambitious, never seen such a huge character study before! The apparent forthcoming content, might be a bit outside the demographic here, but since this site is over 20 years old, I trust our older members will take notice!
Thanks brother, I agree about the demo but I figured this site is where the talent is. So, no matter any demo I want to see if my stuff is up to par. I appreciate you taking the time to comment, very cool!
Wow, never expected a cameo from Kazoo! Great frame rate, story, voice acting/subtitles... I'm impressed! It could use more detail in spots, you know, like a hyper-rendered face or two, like you'd see in other contemporary animations. Looking forward to teh next episode!
Always grateful about your review, Vicarious.
The episode 3 (part 1) is actually finished, I just have to add subtitles...
Well, "just", because doing it with my old computer is a pain in the ass.
Whoa WhateverPlus1 sounds like JohnnyUtah O_o Pizza's a good VA too! The characters don't seem to have chins/jaws, but the pacing and scripting's pretty solid yo. Great first submission dude, hope to see more of you in the future. Really liked the action scenes, great moves!
Thanks! I'll definitely fix the problem with the chins and jaws!
