Well, nothing like a bit of raw honesty to perk up the viewer. What can you tell me about the picture you threw up before the end? Looked like my old place only nicer...

JordanKinsley responds:

Yes it is nice, it's a barn here in Denver. :)

Very well done, plot makes sense to me, in fact it's rare to see one played out so well (in under 3 minutes). The scene with the butcher answering the door, was a nice way to work in his health problems, setting the stage for the ending, which is as solid as you can get. At first I thought the first scene of the store front, played a little long, but it was a good pace setter. Also liked the flowers in the dream sequence, was a good antithesis to the reality of the slaughter house.

HugoVRB responds:

Thank you very much for the great review.
It has been a while since I posted this so all I can see now are the mistakes.
Thanks for reminding me I actually spent a lot of time and effort in this animation. And everybody has to start somewhere.

I am glad you figured out the pacing and motives of everything. You have a good eye. Cheers!

Five stars for having a GF that liked to talk dirty, priceless.

deathink responds:

Hahaha

Damn, who knew Wiki had a list of shipwrecks? Kinda sad to read the Reuben James got blammed... My first thought was the vessel was transporting stellar matter amid ship, but no, something more sinister was afoot! Excellent work everyone! Foul or Fowl play, hmm...

RadioTubeClock responds:

That's right, i had forgotten that wiki has a good list as well! That being said I usually use gcaptain these days to keep up on nautical related news.

I totally missed the spelling on that, although I know I was listening to the Darkwing Duck video game soundtrack at some point while working on this and I recall the villain's organization being called 'FOWL', so perhaps there was something subliminal going on there.

Thanks for the review!

It's 2 loops and some mild padding at both ends, which makes it a well produced short, best seen at 1080 (at 720p the flying squares seem to pixelate everything around them; you always did test the limits of Swivel lol).

It's good to remember the truth is a 3 edged sword; your side, their side and in the middle, the facts as they are. At the time the US took him out, I recall there was a mini-media blitz, kinda like the one that got us into Iraq the second time. 5/5 for reminding the viewers here, that everyone has an agenda, but it's those who cause the most harm, that need to be held accountable.

As always, your animations are soupy smooth and full of heart, yet another reason for a 5/5, because right or wrong, at least you have an opinion that doesn't involve kiddie TV shows and their pseudo-sexy, pre-teen characters.

emily-youcis responds:

Yea, the quality got pretty raped, much better than youtube though.
And yes, 1080 P!
Thanks for the 5, Mista E : }

It was brief, but hellacreepy in ways I hadn't considered. Just another reason to stay away from YT, and hang out here on NG with the rest of the mainstream malcontents. Bonus kudos to Blordo, perfect job!

MisterHerbal responds:

Cheers man! How's your situation since last time?

I sure wasn't expecting to see this today! Guess I've been a fan for at least 5 years then, and am looking forward to the completed episode!

Black-Crystal responds:

Glad to see a long time fan :)

Looks like the Indiana Jones way to traverse an interior distance, which normally would suffice... ah well, I guess the Jeffries tubes of Star Trek, trump Star Wars tech :3

Short but sweet, very detailed, perfect Edn, which kinda reminded me of The Day After (US version of The Threads)

RadioTubeClock responds:

That's a good way of thinking of it, I'm surprised the Star Wars universe hasn't come up with something more efficient.

Looked a little rocky in close, but the wider action scenes seemed to be more fluid. What's the FPS on this, how many total frames/objects? Plenty of room for even more detail (to what's already there) and polish in this piece, so half a star off for that. But damn lol I'd say this was a pass ;)

This is your second submission here, congrats dude! I really appreciate all the hard work, style and detail you've been putting into your work... and I'm not going to be your only fan for long man, you'll see!

DevsRabit responds:

Yeah its very rocky, but this project was my chance to test out the new version of the bone tool in Flash CC. I only had 3 weeks to complete it, all while learning what I was doing (Mainly thanks to Draw with Jazza on youtube). Plus learning how walk cycles even work and all that, and I cant draw, so I had Animate sketches done by a buddy of mine. (I'm taking drawing class next semester.)

FPS is 24, 5440 total frames. I could have made it a lot cleaner, but I wanted it completed by the due date more then I wanted it all looking clean.

Yeah its my second submission here on new grounds, and really only the third animation ive ever done.

Thanks for the input, now that im done with my class, ill make sure my next submission is perfection, cause i have no time restraints.

Your last animation was uploaded here.. 8 years ago? Welcome back! I never read Naruto, but I remember seeing your work in the Portal. Very nice piece, groovy walk cycle :) Just seemed a bit flat in expression and pathos. As an aside; many wild animals will abandon their kids, if they even smell a hint of human skin oil on them.

It's good for what it is; a singular incident, simply animated, with lush backgrounds and a good ending. Held my attention for over a minute with no regrets.

Axxie responds:

Thanks for the wonderful review! Yeah it's most definitely been awhile for me, I'm relearning and working to improve my animation skills. I appreciate your thoughts!
