Good title, good tune! The piano sounds a bit like Schroder from the Peanuts, maybe because the guitar is set back a pace too far. It's a good setup of instruments, I'd like to hear another one like this!

MistyE responds:

Heh, now that you mention it, it does sound like Schroder. Thanks for the review!

Nice complex tune, unmuddied composition, must've looked like a wet dream on the audio editor :)

Pleasant, perfect mix of instruments, lead and back beats, a salad bar of excellent noise! I guess having grown up in the 80's, makes me partial to this kind of musical construction. Ambitious, full bodied, like a dark beer, best served slightly chilled.

SukiWukiDookie responds:

Thanks man. I didn't grow up in the 80s, but I do love the music from then. And I'm always trying to be ambitious whether it's good or bad, so thanks for noticing that!! A dark beer, eh? I do like the sound of that..

Exceptional rendition, well timed and recorded. Just seems a pity that so many people are losing their homes lately, myself included (property taxes too high, neighbors too rich). Thanks for bringing the best of the past, to a site, where the problems of tomorrow, exist today ;)

BenTibbetts responds:

Thanks as always for your support. I'm so sorry to hear you are losing your home. Take care.

This is my favorite of your submitted songs here; very melodic, clear and lyrical. Know what you mean about an organ, but only in the background as support (like a Casio with dying batteries). The lyrics are fine, no need mince words (as it were). 5/5 singing voice, you really beat the shit out of those plastic-fantastic, pick of the cattle call, TV sown, sensationalist singers. But maybe flash (exploitation) 2 (or 3) twirling tassels in some of the e-music circles, might grab a few more ears... sell what few songs you got, on Apple iTune's or some shit.

UNDERNATION responds:

thanks man, you're always full of good suggestions. I'm starting to play music again, so maybe I'll put some new stuff up and take another pass at these old songs.

It sounds... sexy!

headphoamz responds:

Doesn't it though! Thanks V :D

Very clean MIDI, simple instruments, decent understated bass. Really brings me back to the mid 90's, when small MIDI files in loading screens and warez, made the wait tolerable. Seemed kinda clunky in a few spots, but upon a second listening, those rough edges went silent.

MistyE responds:

Thanks for the review!

The sound of the (now Classic) Portal. It never grows old. Back in the day, it urged us on to the next submission. Yup |:

The first 23 seconds are kinda anticlimactic sounding, but seems to take off well after that. The longish break around 2 minutes could be tightened up. The first half of the song is compositionaly all over the place, while the last half seems to flow better.

There's a lot of talented work in this piece!

Zanzlanz responds:

Oh wow, thanks for the feedback VicariousE!
Lately, I've been trying to work on improving the mastering and synth production, and now that I'm doing better with that, I think it's time to work on improving overall composition and melody more. It's such a slow process xD

Excellent background music, you really have a knack for it :)
