That's a little strange, if I'm honest.

I stand the wonderful lyrics (barely discernible) and vocals compressed (and echoed/delayed?) to the mid-range, but the instrumentals sound just as compressed and that's a bit of a killjoy. Fuck, high or not, it's quite pleasant, I hope you can develop this into a full song (or adjust the drums for a better outtro, kinda stark the way it is), I think it'd do quite well!

Is that you singing? Damn, not bad homie, just wish I could hear it more clearly, gay or not! So many rock and metal giants have done melodies like this... hope this review helps.

Xenogenocide responds:

That is actually my brother Cal's blessed voice ;)

LYRICS:

What's left without the means to build to build on our philosophy?
What's right, when all this time you feigned on what you swore?
The inner light will set you free,
Tear through these bounds parting the sea.

What's left without a second wind to make it possible?
What's right, with every turn you make this world your own.
Everything you hold make believe
Deceives the eyes we use to see.

I just made this for fun. Thanks for the review man!

P.S. I wasn't high.

This is rather impressive! Kinda chill for my tastes, but there's no denying the mad skills at work!

Cyberdevil responds:

Mad thanks! ;)

200 proof buzz clip, excellent!

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Cheers mang

After a second listening, I can almost attribute the song to living people, sitting at home (in a box), silent, everyone blue...

SerPounce responds:

That's certainly one way someone could interpret it ;)

Short, unloopable, but really groovy, smooth transition to the heavy beats.

Excellent title aside, this song does it for me. Great mix of instruments, yet not a wall of sound, very good background music, top shelf man!

AliceMako responds:

Glad you like and thanks for listening.

That's groovy, the vocals really threw me for a loop, I think it's the way most of the starting lyrics are read, kudos on keeping the words metered well! Maybe one or two lines could've been more clearly pronounced.

Lyrics are a 10/10, as are the interesting lyrical intonations. Not too crazy about how the tin can effect turned out, but it's just above par, or maybe the instrumentals are so clear and sharp... but that also adds up to be a good combo. Audio engineering aside, I'd love to hear this on the radio!

MistyE responds:

Thanks! That means a lot. Regarding the tin can effect, I'm not so sure about how that came out either. For this and one other song, I sung through my practice guitar amp to get a bit of a lo-fi gritty effect like The Strokes, so that's why it sounds like it does.

Thanks for listening! There's a lot more music from me coming soon.

Very impressive vocals, lyrics and accompaniment! The 'sadwhiteguy' tag pretty much sums it up.
On a side note, I don't think I've ever seen an audio submission here, not have the option to download, the song's available on your SC page?

SerPounce responds:

Thanks a bunch man, really glad you dig it! I suppose I accidentally turned off downloads, fixed that if you had any intention of snatching it :^)

That's you singing and playing? Very good work, however the vocal track's volume seems original, is there a way you could normalize it, so it sounds more consistent?

SerPounce responds:

Thanks a bunch mate. I can go through and change the volume of individual parts of my vocals, but that would cause them to vary in quality, I'm pretty shit at sound production. The main reason the vocal track's sound is shit to begin with is that I'm recording vocals with a $10 mic, lol.
