Around :33 and 1:07, there's a noticeable break that could possibly be smoothed out.
I guess if I were into anime more, the girl's voice wouldn't sound so creepy :)

MYUSAR responds:

i'm going to make a remix soon so that part will be fixed, thanks for the feedback!

heheh yuki sings horror songs all the time.

Really nice, long break around 1 minute. The intro really puts you in the mindset of a wolf, casting about, hungrily... slightly repetitive and long, but it puts you in the right frame of mind!

TrueWolf123 responds:

Hehe thanks!
Yeah its kinda old, so this was like, meh.

While I never listened to the referenced music, I think the synth used, the panning of volume and the construction itself shows great promise, especially as a first submission! It could've really benefited from a lead/fade-out though.

Oh, you mean this piece? http://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/ja gondudo/katz
A buddy of mine faved this tune, now I know why.... The singing voice, the words and the musical accompaniment, all gel together to sound full, professional and inviting!

motakay responds:

Yes, that one, love that artwork. :)
Thank you very much!

A compelling and vivacious composition, but I think the 2 horn instruments were a bit lacking. If they sounded more nuanced and alive, they would've been more welcome in the piece... maybe even bringing them in sooner and exiting later, by increasing and decreasing the volume.

BenTibbetts responds:

OK--thanks for your thoughts.

Sounds slow, devious and thrilling! I dunno if it would sound any better with a more bassy or pronounced bass line... best leave it be. All that mixing, panning and speed changes to certain instrumental sounds, really pay off!
Btw, thanks for the shout out in Chat on Pico Day! I was very tired and slightly buzzed, and didn't know if I should say "thee-ket-el" or "the-ek-e-tel". My bad for being old and uncouth :(

AliceMako responds:

By default, the next one will be even better, or so i tell myself :3

Thank you for saying hi back, i felt i had the best luck finally getting the stream up while folks i know of were near the cam so that was cool.

And it's all good, i had a couple of beers down the hatch myself plus a chat filled to the brim is not the world's best place to explain dutch pronunciation :3

Wow, you did a great job redoing this song!! The glitchy aspect kinda interferes with your usual clockwork-perfect pieces, but it's an avenue you should explore! Always been a fan of your work, and I look forward to anything you wanna throw out here!

It's not pretentious in the slightest. It reminds me of the prog-rock era orchestral segments they'd add to their albums and stage acts... Nights in White Satin, some of Jethro Tulls stuff.

A properly alive piece, one that mimics the songs a will heart sing, over the course of a day (science, lol). This sounded like a pretty good day. Excellent composition, faved!

As a quick clip, this is a nice show of talent! Nice range, clarity... very pleasing voice indeed!

ATheatricalSongBird responds:

Thanks so much!
Glad I could leave that impression in just 20 seconds! :)

Audio volume's mastered a bit low (check other audio submissions in comparison). Treble is noticeable and blends too well with my tinnitus :P A simple remastering would undoubtedly fix this.

That said, this is one of your most varied jam outs yet. Aside from a mild fluster about halfway through, epic sauce. The ending riff around 6 minutes.... yowza! Who was speaking in the background at the end, frustrated parent?

Destrayop responds:

I hear ya man, definitely gonna do some more takes of this, recording with my other amp to stomp out that trebley problem. Much obliged, for the feedback and the review.
--Listening back on it, the treble really helps define it but I get what you mean about toning it down.

Caught myself before my left brain got to it I suppose, it all follows the same structure though really-- It seems familiar for some reason, can't place it. Was just pulling random notes and minor scale there at the six minute mark, good stuff though lol. That would be the television, I probably should've switched that off before recording.
