Audio volume's mastered a bit low (check other audio submissions in comparison). Treble is noticeable and blends too well with my tinnitus :P A simple remastering would undoubtedly fix this.

That said, this is one of your most varied jam outs yet. Aside from a mild fluster about halfway through, epic sauce. The ending riff around 6 minutes.... yowza! Who was speaking in the background at the end, frustrated parent?

Destrayop responds:

I hear ya man, definitely gonna do some more takes of this, recording with my other amp to stomp out that trebley problem. Much obliged, for the feedback and the review.
--Listening back on it, the treble really helps define it but I get what you mean about toning it down.

Caught myself before my left brain got to it I suppose, it all follows the same structure though really-- It seems familiar for some reason, can't place it. Was just pulling random notes and minor scale there at the six minute mark, good stuff though lol. That would be the television, I probably should've switched that off before recording.

The early 'break' around :56 kinda threw me, but after a critical listen, I find this music would be a perfect backdrop to some chicks' racy lyrics.
I do think this would be a commercial success; now you need a singer and/or writer. Maybe hit up http://hania.newgrounds.com/ and http://wordwizard64.newgrounds.com/ ..you'd have to pull the female voice, but it's a good guideline for future vocals.

SoundHawk responds:

Appreciate the comments, I'm always up for working with other artists. Thanks for the listen

A truly pretty and complex composition. Sounds new and fresh, but has the best elements of a good prog-rock concept album!

BenTibbetts responds:

Thanks!

Sounds like the volume was mastered a bit low, but the cadences of the note progressions (I don't know, never took music theory) really gel. Title fits, oddly enough.
Dunno why this should remind me of Harpo's playing.. he was the bomb with a harp! Should really read his auto-bio... oh! awesome loop, very pleasing and elegant!

Jessismith responds:

Hey! Thanks again, friend. I haven't heard of him before, but I have always been a fan of any kind of harp music. I will definitely look him up, as well as his music. :D

Nice progression of beats and instruments. Sounds like mood music for Miami Vice of the 1980's, makes me want to wear colorful loafers with no socks!

mistarogerz responds:

That's what I was wearing when I made it!

Some wonderful cadences in there! Whatever the commission was, they didn't pay enough - good show!

BenTibbetts responds:

Thank you!

Pretty nice solo jam, had some Alice In Chains type intonations here and there. Sounds wistful, like you were looking for the lost chord, but the journey was good.

Destrayop responds:

Thanks man.
This song comes from alot of different things, the lost chord feeling was intended in a couple spots-- I don't really have a specific structure to it though, just kind of went through interchangeably using some different suspensions

Sounds perfectly put together, with enough nuance and diversity to sound compelling (singling out the instruments for a mini solo never sounded so good!)
5/5 - Excellent end credits music!!

amyrenee responds:

Thank you!!!

Late 70's butter; amazingly trippy, sharp and clear sounding! Reminiscent of early Pink Floyd, which is no wonder... Gods, how old this is! This was a real treat, like an airplane bottle of very old scotch: not a lot there, but worth every drop. How was this originally recorded and remastered (tracks, equipment, software settings)?

gamejunkie responds:

Thanks for the great review. Glad you liked it. Originally recorded on 8 Track. Simply transferred from 8 Track to Computer. The original tapes were still in pristine condition so next to no reworking was needed.

Cheers gamejunkie.

Really nice catchy tune, but the volume was mastered a little low. It's also kinda short, but it's still sweet.

MrTaquito responds:

yeah, i made this song back in 2009, so i was still a noob at music. lol
