Okay, it's a dub, but lol, what a nice job on the scripting and voices! If it makes me laugh, it's worth having on Newgrounds, glad to see you doing a solo act here kid ;)

TomaMoto responds:

These dubs were my jam once upon a time, but they were met with a lot of resistence when I first started making them since they don't really fall into what is traditionally accepted here on Newgrounds. When my first dub was blammed off the portal, I reupped it with a disclaimer at the beginning defending my fair use of Avatar footage and compared it to the vast assortment of animations at the time that were using copyrighted sprites. My appeal seemed to work as all my dub submissions since then have made it through the portal.

I wouldn't dream of comparing the effort I put into these dubs to that of even the most basic hand-drawn flash animations, but it is still a fun way to show off my other abilities to my pears despite my ret"art"ation.

Anyway, thanks for the watch and the review, Vicarious. I expect I will see you around.

Congrats on the daily 5th! You might as well continue to produce this, you got the walk cycle down...

As an ad, it's 4.5 (could use a tad more shock and awe); as a NG submission, an easy 4, since it's an atypical ad and it has a unknown backstory., reminiscent of the original Fallout character. Good work on the text, hand could've been slightly more animated.

SplinterNrurse responds:

I actually had to make this for a masterclass, so I didn't have enough time to properly animate it (notice the guy's walking cycle looks a bit funny as well). I might improve it in the future, but first I'm going to finish making the storylines.

Thanks!

Nothing like breaking the hard won brass ring, right after you get it. Perfect comedy, well animated, sparse details, a tiny bit short, but it all looks cozy!

Potatoman responds:

Thank-you Vicarious!

When I saw your name come up, I knew this was going to be a class act. Very smooth, well drawn and shaded, great voice acting. Roughly how many frames is this, and at what fps? I really liked the script, doing playful humor is an art, and you're becoming a master!

AtroxChobatsu responds:

Oh my gosh, I never saw this comment. Super late response haha.

I did this at 24 fps! Not sure how many unique frames are in the short, but the entire timeline is 2700 frames long.

Thanks for watching! I'm glad you like it! :D

Wow, your first movie, what a dangerous thing! Hope you get the help you need (lol) on programming :)

Paxilon responds:

"I wondered if Vic knew the kind of help I would really need for programming. It came in a one-size-fits-all calibre-- a .45, right between my eyes."

I think if I weren't so tired I would be more worried about first impressions, but--
wait...
NOPE, STILL PRETTY NERVOUS HA HA HA
Thanks!

Pun overload man, but there's something to it: colloquial English studies!

At least the main plot's pun/mystery solved was well placed. 'Well wisher', very potent gotcha moment, saves the piece really O_o Puns are very dangerous.

So far, this series has maintained an even, enjoyable level of entertainment, one which should not go unnoticed by mainstream, comedic productions looking for a writing partner who can deliver.

danmarkowitz responds:

If puns are dangerous, I guess I like to live dangerously.

Not bad. Damn, why Ash lay out that beggar? Constipation got him down? For the jolly-wallies of it, a bit of the old ultra-violence?

oldmanbeefjerky responds:

actually it goes way back to ash's childhood, his, pre-10 childhood. he was traumatized by a hobo, but i wont go further or else it will spoil episode 4.
the first episode was a total flop, it looked better in script form, but, the show will have a very intricate plot episodes 2 and beyond. Ash is hobophobic.

It's a bit simple, but it's good. Only didn't care for the Hollywood theater loudness of the chase/action background music, it's a bit too loud, though the voices were nice and clear throughout.

At least it's hard to call it a Bladerunner clone, it's got a different feel to it. This was just an action scene, so it's hard to gauge the plot/setting based on a single video.

FreeWillRevolution responds:

I'm heavily influenced by Blade Runner, but hopefully the next episodes can also differentiate my work.

Mouth movements, objects and backgrounds could use some work. There was one point where the guy's mouth just stays open, even when he's speaking, looked a bit lazy.

The program that encodes the video will sometimes do that, I've had it happen on other programs. It's the type of file that gets converted.. anyway, add 2 seconds to your intro and outro next time, just to be safe.

SalehtheAnimator responds:

Lol, I already know this cartoon is really crappy. But thanks for the bottom tip though.

Very fluid, purposeful work! Glad you finished this!

ffrick responds:

Thanks :D
