Some expressive slices of life in these panels. The shading, muted colors and real life detail, show what it feels like over there. Is that a Lada Riva in the last panel? We were supposed to get them in the 1970's (in the US), but our leaders at the time said no...

spacefader responds:

It's a Lada, not sure what kind, just a generic one. We got them in new zealand as payment for some kind of debt. They are awesome looking cars I reckon. I went over to Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia last year. Great part of the world. These are some drawings I did based on that trip. The Lada one is a place called James Bond oil field in Baku, the lada wasn't actually in the oil lake but it seemed like it should be ha ha!!!!!!!

Very detailed and expressive work indeed! Work like this keeps me coming back to Newgrounds, year after year, decade after... well, we'll see.
All that line shading really paid off with this piece (click the image for full detail!)

spacefader responds:

Hey cheers man, those lines are nothing for a .25 rapidograph!

Recognized the character straight off, nice work!

It's a cult, but I do love the line art. Very pretty!

bloominglove responds:

lol Thanks.

It exudes the essence of awesome sauce. So, there's a doll outside... it can stand on it's own two feet, in an alien garden. And how proper to stand with hands hid behind her back...

Astonishing. What is the size of the canvas, plz? At this rez, I can only imagine the insane detail. I'm looking at a very expensive piece, aren't I? It's pretty damn rad.

What a willful grin this beasty is wearing! Not too surprised to see this got Front Paged, well done!

But these are your words, your images? Powerful stuff. If it looks rough, it simply adds to the lack of pride we feel, when our freedom is taken away - it's not meant to be pretty, it just needs to be said.

EchoCharlieDelta responds:

Yep, my words/images. The account manager from the ad firm has seen this too and he loved it.

Jazzy, crazy, psychedelic, day glow lookin' lady looks fine! Awesome work on the background and body aura, it really is quite alluring!
Was gonna give you 4 1/2 stars to keep you on your toes, but I like this piece - it's like an early 80's art deco of what future art would look like! I'm not kissing ass, this really speaks to me.

beastkid7 responds:

hehe thanks V!

The form and proportions are very sweet to look at :) Only, maybe the eyes and the pleats under the dress should've been drawn with a finer point. Quite a fetching little piece!

Clueless-queen responds:

thanks ^^

This is a deeply emotional piece, that depicts the Pico posse honoring a great game. I like the over the shoulder look by Nene, and the look of consternation on Darnell - great rendering!

Saminat responds:

I have the deepest respect for this game, it's so freaking good! Thanks for the great review hombre!
