You clearly put some work into this, and it's an improvement over your old work in a lot of important ways. Still, try and improve how smooth/sharp/precise the linework is - when you look in close, sometimes it looks a little grainy and wavy.

The character's got a nice layout, looks really sharp dressed and ethereal to boot

I'll try my best next time and thank you so much! i'm so glad that you liked my new icon drawing!

I missed seeing this when it came out! That faic... is loveable :3 I will say off the top of my head, you took some risks with the text, can't say what though. The red anarchy A under Shad almost looks like a branding (either definition lol) method, which is awesome! The whole thing is posh and I love it.

deathink responds:

Thanks a lot my man. I used to make ads for a living, so I still have a little "branding" flair haha.

Very cute :3

Jinx-25 responds:

Thank you very much :)

It looks like someone was painting fingernails everywhere! But, no, hey, it's exceptionally good! There's some variety (color and shape) in those faces, some of which are cleverly hidden, and yet it all seems composed well :)

Must be very short term stasis. I could complain about the lack of tubes, and where things are hooked up, but it's elegant, undisturbing, and discrete, a 5 star no-brainer. Just feel awful for her :O

Rhunyc responds:

Ahh thanks a bunch man, I totally appreciate the kind review. :)

Hey man, you finally finished coloring it! Looks very crisp, though, I do wonder about the shading under the perfect eyes; sometimes I think it showcases the bone structure, other times, it's the just a light source over an uneven surface... sucks to be me |: Doesn't matter in the slightest, she's cute as a button and dead sexy!

Every aspect of this looks perfect: prefect stance, presence, colors, shading. It's almost like a veteran comic book artist (in his/her prime years) did this! Aside from a lack of depth/symmetry on the 3 cylinders on his chest, this is a damn fine looking character... though how does one show emotion, when there's no flesh to wrinkle. lol?

Hope the new game and new year treat you well, thanks for uploading this!

Undeadkitty13 responds:

thank you so much :D

At first I couldn't tell where Roland had ended up, since the towers in the background are certainly not the Dark Tower! I'd guess somewhere along the fringes of the Mohaine desert, the apotheosis of all deserts....

The detail on Roland is fabulous, especially his upper coat. The background itself is fine, but the structures, especially the near/foreground tree, could've done with a bit more clarity. I don't recall reading about a tilting spire like the one on the left... where has Roland gone, I wonder ;)

Trollfriend responds:

Thanks for the review - I really appreciate it!
To answer your question, no, it's nothing like the dark tower as it was described in the book, or as it is on the book cover. Instead it is sort of how I imagined it might look, when I first started reading the books. A main part of the wonder of the story is ultimately the mystery of the destination, the dark tower - what it is, what it looks like, where it is, and what it will signify.
So although my version of the books had an impression of the tower on the cover, my mind conjured a more sinister and twisted construction, amidst the asymmetry of that strange apocalyptic world (this was before the final book)! Hope that clears things up! Thanks again!

I'm just realizing, that Scott is wearing a t-shirt that says Teflon. Turns out some things did stick to him, later in this mini epic. Beyond that, I guess we're all alone?

UNDERNATION responds:

yeeeeeeeep. thinking about bringing this character back.

Unlike some people, I -will- read the artists description, and take the meaning behind the work to heart :3 I take it from the look on this poor guys face, this isn't the kinda hug he wanted. The lack of a background pushes the viewer (helplessly) to the subjects, which are pretty well done! The zombie chick seems to lack just enough detail (in the shoulder area) to be noticeable - minor aesthetic quibbles. Still, you got the faces and the guy's outfit looking perfect!

Paxilon responds:

SOOOOME people. I think Sirundead fears we'll find out he's illiterate. When, um, reading big long gushy game reviews. Not when he's like-- just-- reading in small doses.
....This theory is a work in progress.

"I want to hug you until your nose bleeds" should be a more commonly-used pickup line, I think. There's some kind of analogy for relationships in this picture--one I was certain our mutal friend would pick up on and loudly trumpet (I avoided making any jokes in hopes that he would make better ones, actually, but looks like he dropped the ball on that one. What a weenie).

Yeah, getting the lighting/shading right on her shoulder is probably the key to making it less.... blank looking. I may take a few reference pictures awkwardly crouched over a lamp to get that right. It seems once I draw from a real reference picture the lessons I learn from it stick for a little while. MAYBE I SHOULD KEEP DOING THAT DERP
Thanks! I'm glad you pointed out his little outfit, I was quite surprised when it turned out better than I expected. Dem armor plates. Nyghohyeah.
