It's a cute little thing, more an animation than a game, but it's attractive and has smooth movements. Seems kind of aimless, but all 3 animations work well. Reminds me of Burgertime. Pretty good first submission!

Hei-Chu responds:

Thank you, I'll definitely improve on my next one hopefully. First time doing something in actionscript while I'm more of a animator really! I'll also work on the size format too.

I ran into some bugs early on, but decided to take another crack at this. Aside from the motorcycle part, I felt much of this game was tough, but winnable. There aren't many games out there that look this good, or have such a decent storyline. Menu and replay system very intuitive, all in all, a great game with some rough edges.

Munguia responds:

Thanks for the chance VicariosE, the annoyng moving Platform bug is fixed now, Thanks 4 your time
:)

It's a nice choose your own story, with enough complexity to keep you clicking. The narrative text could've been a little larger, as well as the graphics (simple, but tasteful). Submitting this on April Fools day might've affected your initial score, but I think this is a genuinely good game!

expressionexp responds:

Thanks for your feedback! This is my first game. Glad you like it.

Nice man, it's like Silent Scope, only without the zoom! Only... where was this '4 hour flash challenge' held, hmmm? I think you're allowed to post a link in the description, if you so desire. Don't be a fool, exploitation is cool!

Yomuchan responds:

I would. but I doubt posting nsfw links on NG is a good idea.

There's a definite weirdness curve to the game, and that's fine! Good little story came into its own rather well... or was rather birthed :p We call 'em English muffins in the US... not sure I'd be comfortable with one that big visiting Earth... maybe a quick swing by the sun? I dislike underdone English muffin |:

The graphics were fine, but could've used a second layer to frame things out, add a hint of visual context to compliment the words... but the simple was nice in its own right :3 Anyway, glad you got this done on time, it's really cool!

sPacE-gaN responds:

Thanks so much Vicarious ! ha ha swing by the sun for a little browning. Yeah - I went with super simple graphics for this 'cos of the time constraints and actually the freedom it gives when writing a spontaneous kind of script. I'm really happy you liked the weird story - thanks again ! :D

7 hours, 42 minutes. Of hell. Too many clicks for the non-cheater. Why not just hold the damn button down, and upgrade the speed? Nice concept and all, but a medal/goal of 50 thousand clicks?!

Coolboyman responds:

It was originally 1,000,000 clicks :p. I might lower it actually, maybe 30,000 would be fairer.

That was an amazing story! Also, the artwork was excellent, if a bit scratchy looking... using 3 or 4 colors really worked well! Can't wait for another story like this, but maybe next time, look in the Audio Portal here for some music to add.

sPacE-gaN responds:

Thank you very much Vicarious :) So happy you liked it. I'm just in the process of making my next game - the art is the same style and I have a musician friend who is going to compose a score for me. Yeah my game art is kind of scratchy --- it's sort of intentional, I do a lot of time-consuming big paintings that aren't, so the line art in my games is rough and quicker to make

Wow, nice, reminds me of MDK as far as attacks and gliding! Sometimes the fact I couldn't turn around in mid-air seemed like a problem, but it was minor. It's kind of an easy game, but you do find all the healths and powerups very useful. Music, gameplay and graphics were just wonderful.

Just like your Hobo series of games, it's a fun, inviting, immersive ride through a damn nice place!

SeethingSwarm responds:

So glad you enjoyed this little game of mine! The controls are definitely a bit wonky and I think I've come a far way since this game concerning game design. I wasn't sure if people would like the music, but considering that this is a bit of an experimental game, I thought what the hell. Personally I think the music goes great on it and I'm glad you like it too :) Thanks for the great review!

Over 30 years ago, I played a game that was a little more advanced than this, called Hot Dog Stand, on a TRS-80 III computer. It probably took the game makers a long time to create, but it was balanced and turn based.

Be careful of your spelling, before compiling and submitting to newgrounds. There is a lot of wasted space... the text (which you had to watch constantly, because there's no pause button), was at the bottom, and in very small type, which didn't flash or light up, to let you know when it was time to compete.
There's a lot of room for improvement.. the meter of progress didn't work sometimes. But this is a big step. I hope Heavy Gaming will sponsor you one day!

TheeCoffee responds:

I've been working with Actionscript in just 2 Weeks :)
I will Improve this game by Adding More Pictures and make it more friendly :)

Whooo, power armor!! What a fun game, and I haven't even scratched it's red shiny surface!
I must admit, just a few of the longer sequences could use a skip button, but the animation and voice acting make it all worthwhile :) These sure do keep getting better! Load time was well worth the wait.

PuffballsUnited responds:

I'm glad you thought it was worth the wait! Yeah I could see the want for a skip button, I know I wanted one when I had to test this game so many times.
