I've been visiting other people's blogs here, for a very long time. Recently, I let my blog responses go for a few days. There's "68 new blog replies" showing on the FP, and I don't wanna look at 'em, for the foreseeable future. While I'm grateful for not being ignored, I think it's time for me just to sit back, and let you kids visit me for a change.

All in a day's work. It's not glamourous, or healthy for me, but it will be done.

Easter Update: The quickening is here, and soon the long, bumpy drive to points unseen will begin, and the air of Newgrounds will be made manifest in the real world, breathing, laughing, breeding, seeing from many diverse viewpoints. We are many, we are different, but we all come to the same place, the place that Tom and Wade built.

It's times like this I realize, it truly is love that makes the world go 'round. It's sad to see the world turn to anger, and worrysome to feel the Earth slow, right before a massive crash. We sieze the moments of happiness where we can, because they can never come back again, and can keep us alive in dark times. Despite it's overuse, 'hope' is really all we have... and I've never known hope, when she wasn't on a diet |:

Kinda like a 2 stage.. 2/3rds steep downhill, then an easier slope.

Oh I know... and now the ticks are here, thanks to the deer, which go where they want. I really need a drone with an infrared light and remote video camera on it, to chase them away, Probably have to be a gas powered rig :P

No clue, but it's rare for the snow drifts there to be deep or consistent.

Still wish I could shoot/mortar/bomb them.

Yeah, they are. Imagine working 8 hours and going to punch out, only to find your time card had been eaten by a deer..... One deer can destroy quite a lot of stuff, just a nibble here and there, and you're out a lot of money and sweat.

Not for long. Very good, and not nearly as fatty as cow meat. Probably, but not locally, I don't think... they do have a camera network here in the States; the FBI administrates a privately operated national network of cameras (many, many more than the cops have access to).. the feeds from these go to private citizens (mostly business people, with 'critical civilian services'). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/InfraGuard

Deer don't text, deer don't reason, deer don't take warnings, deer always return.... they've become suburbanized, and as such, need more incentive to NOT be here. Plastic spinning at a high RPM should do the trick (at least 3-4 times a week, till finished). Sea salt fired from a shotgun would be okay... they make (made) those shells for riots and critters, but the salt eats the gun awfully fast.

I guess if you get a commission though, all's fair in love and commerce. Retail is a constantly devolving game played by suits who forgot what goes on IRL, at least, that was my general experience in dealing with upper middle management types in consumer research....

But it seems that deer can be stopped so you can indeed gave them warnings, to chase them away, along with all their tastiness, but i don't like meat all that much anyway, so meh.

Stopped for a day or two, then they return.. and I can't always catch them. As I said, it only takes one to cost you a few hundred dollars. We even try putting powdered lime on them, so when they come into bite, they get a snout full of ick.

Tell me about it, I really need to make a Faraday cage for my old computer gear. Though if the EM is strong enough, it probably won't matter. I'd love to sink a cache of electronics in Crater Lake, reel it in after a good jolt... though I wonder if water does a good enough job of filtering out EM.

For all intents and purposes, if you have porn on your HD in the US, they can get you for kiddie porn. Why? Unless it's stamped with all the required info (full company name, certified over 18, files on record kept by...), ANY porn can subjectively called kiddie porn. The actors have to 'look' a certain age, but the charges and legal scrutiny over the content is enough to bust whoever they go after.

No fence. They can jump 7 feet, and the cost of putting up a fence like that is quite steep.

Well 16+ years old nowadays come with bodies that make 30+ years old women jealous, so i kinda understand but, come one really? that is pushing it!

They can even bust you for files in your cache, but the mainstream porn sites are the only ones who respect privacy enough, to honor a 'clear cache' command to the browser... google and yahoo are notoriously famous for sticky tracking techniques.

If you have an old computer, sometimes it's better to play back video on videoLAN or something... the CPU power needed to decode and stream video, can be quite brutal, I can barely do 720 on YouTube, and they have one of the smoothest video players around.

Skunk, groundhog, raccoon, fox. We used to have muskrat, but they all got killed for fur, or couldn't survive without good running streams.... my Pop used to trap. He made 50$ a week sending pelts to Sears and Roebucks... damn good money back then.

God's laws or man's laws, that's the battle that 's going on right now - the US gov't wants to be God to it's people, and that ain't right.

I didn't save the link, but I read that animals are fleeing Yellowstone National park, which used to be a supervolcano a few times, in the distant past.
