i asked mainly because tool is my favorite band, i was about to be very excited.
BUT, the fact that you like my lovecraft quote makes up for that. lovecraft is my favorite author. glad you recognized that

I like Tool, but somehow that song never clicked for me. Guess it shows my age, but I don't play favorites anymore, especially since there's so much good stuff out there. I will say that Otep's Ascension is in my top 10 of favorite albums.

What little I've read of HP Lovesauce came from sci-fi fiction magazines, though I never had a subscription to any of them. I did buy Jim Morrison's book of poetry, back in the day... Guess my biggest literary hard on came from...
"Of all Stephen King’s novels, the Dark Tower saga has had the most persistent hold upon the author’s imagination. Begun in 1970, it has remained an active part of his creative life for more than forty-two years. Although originally inspired by Robert Browning’s poem “Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came,” and Sergio Leone’s “spaghetti” Westerns, the Dark Tower novels have a magic all of their own."

But radiation makes me feel warm and fuzzy...

Does this mean I'm.... a.... (CUE THE DRAMATIC MUSIC) zombie?!

Yeah EM radiation's okay for cooking potatoes and popping eggs (in other ppl's nukers), but not so good for living organic matter :p

Hmm, maybe like the ones in Fallout, or better yet... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoILzi5thYg

I ranked up for b/p :P
I am now a Major.

Fuckin' major star, looks good!
Congrats man, that's a lot of crap to watch to get that far! Plus side is, there are at least a few noobs out there who actually try and produce good content.

So did it healed already or is still messed up?

Slowly getting better, but I still haven't gotten a USB keyboard yet :|

RE: you and nietzlawe's recourse...seems this year will mark the beginning of Skynet.

I think it's been like this for a while. The FBI and intelligence agencies the world over have been using the internet since the late 90's... but using it and satellites to remote-fly drones around in large numbers? Reminds me of a line from an old song.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ci7lssNMRI

Rape machines are outside my door... along with a mess of hungry cats.

Cheap ones must be at 15 to 20 dollars or so, and they are flexible, i think my mom still has one which still works, it is like this one: http://www.amazon.com/USB-Flexible-Full-Sized-Keyboard/dp/B000K6ZNHE

And apparently they are also waterproof, not that i have tried to see if they survive water but they seem like they could.
The problem with these flexible Keyboards is that unless you work on a table they are a pain to use.

Ah, who needs cheap when you pour so much time into using it? I'm going to try and find one that's similar to a laptop's; flat and quiet, but it means I gotta get my butt over to Radioshack or Best Buy to try a few out... then order online, where it's usually cheaper. I always use a computer at a desk anyway.

Yeah! Only like....1400 (or maybe 2900 because I think the intervals between ranks gets even bigger now) more b/p til I rank up again! I hope I'm at least a Commander before the end of this year.
Yeah....you need exactly 15,500 b/p to be a Major. I've also been eligible to enter the EGB for awhile now. But I want to wait on trying to see if they'll allow me in. I just recently got into that 10K exp/b&p/post thing. As well as the Top 2,000 Exp and Top 500 B/P.
Yeah I suppose you're right. Still though. There IS a lot of crap coming into the portal....

IDK when byteslinger and the regulars come together to accept new members... but myself, I act like a member already, posting whatever crap looks suspect.

I might make a post in General about Michael Jackson's kid... he made a few really good stick figure flashes/cartoons... if I had a YT account, I'd ask/invite him over here!

Haha true that, the main attraction of the flexible keyboard is that you can use its flexibility to minimize space while travelling.

In that case it is about time to get your lazy ass some walking, yeah walking, you can use it to put some exercise in the way, that is 2 birds with one stone! sounds like a plan to me.

I'd still rather talk tot he computer (speech-to-text), but that tech is still expensive, resource hungry and not very good....

There's almost a foot of snow on the ground, and temperatures are really wacky... very below freezing. However, I might sign up at the local 'recreation center'. They've got treadmills and some other stuff there, and it's only 1/2 a mile away. It's my lower back that gets me limping though......

Ah trip on the snow, sounds like an adventure!
To go and buy equipment sounds like a quest!
is all in the motivation!

Snow melted all away, thanks to a bit of rain and temps in the 60F degree range... back down to -5F tonight though ._. All quested out today, thanks to pain wearing me down. Hopefully it won't wake me up early, or keep me from sleeping.

No snow? the roads wet, a cold night, oh well maybe next year you can go on that snowy adventurous trip to do some window shopping at a tech shop.

If I drove out tonight, I might end up IN a shop's window :) All those wet roads are going to freeze rather quickly tonight... they call it 'black ice', because you can't tell it's slippery.

My cousin just got a small buck deer with a 12 gauge shotgun an hour ago, he should be leaving the butcher's just now....

No driving man, you have to walk! that is part of the adventure!
And no fire weapons neither remember the stoning of births? that's right from now on you will kill animals using stones and stick, maybe even some rope for a bow and arrows, all to maximize the effect!

Hmm, just checked, it's a little over a mile to walk there on comfy sidewalks.. makes me wonder why people drive there to work out! The roads in question are very residential, and not too polluted to breathe next to. I almost laughed at the health news years back, when they said healthy runners and cyclists were getting lung cancer lol!!

Aww, no noisemakers? Cousin just got a nice spike buck last night... hope I get sum meatsies >:) Gotta go to a sporting goods store for the arrowheads....

that's hot.. or cold rather

I just realized it's a double dong/icicle... might be time to find another pic from the old archives.

Haha almost got me there, but no you will make them out of stone! stone arrows!

Or I could just dig in the dirt, find some plate steel (there was a lot of mess made right before the estate sale/auction), and get busy while the A-Team music plays....

So you are saying that you will get a shovel and start digging rare metals to build your own keyboard!?

Damn, that's some mad adventuring spirit, respect yo!

Now that's an idea! I'll use little pieces of bone for the keys. Nah, my Pop was a mechanical engineer and had tons of iron around, which inevitably made it's way onto the ground, which is kinda soft.... after time and rain, it's all trying to go back where it came from. There is a lot of natural iron ore in the ground around here, and it's just as hard as real iron... but after the air hits it, it kinda turns into rust

Mmmh in paper sounds like something interesting to see, but i bet that in reality it is nothing pretty to see rusted iron coming out of the earth.

In that case i guess you will have to walk to that tech store and try some keyboards.

Most of my life's been digging around the dirt, either to install or repair pipes, or to put seed, water and fertilizer down... or to extract weeds |:

What I should probably do, is go to the town's recycling center, and see what's in the electronic refuse container... I'm not supposed to take stuff out, but I figure, they owe me for all the taxes I paid.

Yeah but that doesn't changes the fact that rusted iron should not be coming out of the earth just like that...

Na, before you indulge into that, first walk to that tech shop and scope yourself a keyboard.

Hell, I should charge little kids 5$ apiece to come and 'dig for treasure'.... guaranteed to find something! Saves me the bending over several times a minute.

I hardly ever go to the shops, except for food and my smoking tobacco.. so that's two places, 2-3 times a week total. Plus the truck's heater doesn't work. And it's very, very cold outside.

The sooner you answer that PM, the sooner I can start putting in the orders.

Wow ._. I had 15 PM's in the past 4 days, no wonder I've been so leery lately.
I'll do my best to respond Emily Post and PDQ as well :)

I'll be damned, that's a good one, thanks!

Now if I can just get the contents of that flask......... there's a few people in Congress I'd like to speak to.

well get better soon! NG needs your presence.

Working on it... just don't want to spend money on healthcare is all |: In the past 12-15 years, the healthcare industry has really festered... that's what happened when cheap companies stopped offering health insurance over a period of just a few decades.

I watched the Green Hornet interview with Bruce Lee recently, early stuff, black and white... he spoke of himself, martial arts history, tried out some kicks before the camera... real shame he died so early! He'd probably have lived a long time if he didn't die suddenly. Like Run Run Shaw, recently past away after directing a thousand martial art movies, 107 years old. :) Good quote!

Oh hey @S3C didn't notice your comment response earlier, initials probably don't work @ :P Thanks for that quick pick of radiation knowledge!

The good thing about youth, is that you get the chance to explore all the great people of history to your liking... however, when you get older, you see their counterparts, the institutions and their mega-rich leaders, who want control over everything the human race has to offer.
