The music in this game fits like a glove and sounds perfect, even with many retries. Almost didn't beat the game, had to buy all the upgrades and play a few rounds after to get into the swing of things. Very challenging, but pleasant too! At first it was hard to distinguish the dangerous items thrown... the purple didn't stand out from the background enough.

Had a severe lag right after I collected 80 items. On an Intel 1.6Ghz laptop computer, it took 2-3 minutes for the effects to render... can also blame NG medal pop-up for a few of those CPU cycles. Memory requirements were not a problem, at least :)

Maybe next time, have more than just one platform to jump on. Kinda prolonged the game time, by saving and spending the cash on the jump upgrades, when it rarely comes in handy.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable game and I look forward to more!

Wow, nice, reminds me of MDK as far as attacks and gliding! Sometimes the fact I couldn't turn around in mid-air seemed like a problem, but it was minor. It's kind of an easy game, but you do find all the healths and powerups very useful. Music, gameplay and graphics were just wonderful.

Just like your Hobo series of games, it's a fun, inviting, immersive ride through a damn nice place!

So glad you enjoyed this little game of mine! The controls are definitely a bit wonky and I think I've come a far way since this game concerning game design. I wasn't sure if people would like the music, but considering that this is a bit of an experimental game, I thought what the hell. Personally I think the music goes great on it and I'm glad you like it too :) Thanks for the great review!

Over 30 years ago, I played a game that was a little more advanced than this, called Hot Dog Stand, on a TRS-80 III computer. It probably took the game makers a long time to create, but it was balanced and turn based.

Be careful of your spelling, before compiling and submitting to newgrounds. There is a lot of wasted space... the text (which you had to watch constantly, because there's no pause button), was at the bottom, and in very small type, which didn't flash or light up, to let you know when it was time to compete.
There's a lot of room for improvement.. the meter of progress didn't work sometimes. But this is a big step. I hope Heavy Gaming will sponsor you one day!

I will Improve this game by Adding More Pictures and make it more friendly :)

Whooo, power armor!! What a fun game, and I haven't even scratched it's red shiny surface!
I must admit, just a few of the longer sequences could use a skip button, but the animation and voice acting make it all worthwhile :) These sure do keep getting better! Load time was well worth the wait.

PuffballsUnited responds:

I'm glad you thought it was worth the wait! Yeah I could see the want for a skip button, I know I wanted one when I had to test this game so many times.

You've a fine voice, and the clear-cut, no frills interface make this a straight up tool, as well as a innovative VO resume.
It's a little drab looking, 25 voice options... I guess is enough to showcase your talent, needs a stop sounds button. Also, there's a bit too much 'silence padding' at the start of every one of these clips - a professional touch for ease of editing, but in this application, unnecessary.
Very solid effort indeed!

Very simple and cute game! Only problem I had, was with the traffic outside my window, wooshing by! Made timing difficult.. maybe a visual pop-up thing would help? I'm sure the challenging and varied medals will make this a big hit in the Portal!

My name is in the game... twice! I asked myself when Waistland 2 was coming out... I didn't respond, because I'm boring. Wow, you got 3 hours of sleep before Pico Day? I had 90 minutes :(
Almost docked you half a star for the lack of a quality option in the right click menu (or in the menu itself), the kinda slow character movements, and the very slow end credits.
This game (and present) was a great tribute to the staff and users of Newgrounds. Thanks for making this, and including so many people in the gameplay! You rock deathink!

deathink responds:

Yeah, I can't believe I didn't add some kind of quality option. Anyway, I am glad you liked it :)

No Hat Guy medal? Feel so left out :(

TheMajormel responds:

:o

I should probably add a hat guy medal

While I think the mid-air controls could be more responsive, and not almost useless, this game has the key to gaming fun... variables. There are layers of waves that can get you higher if you hit them right. The lights also seem pretty random. Almost impossible to get medals, but it's loads of fun!

I'm sure this puny little file was used on the phone, hundreds of times, by geeky smartasses, all over the Western world. I know I did, but my stupid headphones weren't loud enough!
