Very dramatic looking! Not too keen on the sloppy lines on the body, but the form and function look awesome. Really glad to hear you have friends who want you outside your door... how else are you to be inspired? Happy New Year dear :)

Paxilon responds:

Heh, you're right on both fronts--I have a love/hate relationship with those damn lines. When I doodle tthey can help suggest a lot more movement, but look hideous on a finished drawing. But as soon as I try to refine them I feel I lose a lot of the energy. I'm still trying to find a balance.
And I do like going out, it keeps things fresh. Though sometimes I think that with all the tobogganing I do my fingers will drop off from frostbite ;D

Something for the missus on her special day of the year? I think she will liek it :)

Exceptional work! You must be pretty good with markers, to have had it come out this way. I noticed some faint writing over the middle of the piece.... wha?

Jinx-25 responds:

Thank you :) I'm not too good with markers, still learning.

OH! I'm actually surprised you see the faint writing ^^" I have this old habit of writing which character goes where in my drawings because I tend to forget due to my terrible A.D.D.. :)

Never thought you could pull off the cartoony style, and with such wonderful lighting! Great piece, warm and loving. Have a happy new year :3

Koel-Art responds:

Thank you! Happy new year to you too! ^^

That's a lot of colorful poof-balls! Looks like an arts and crafts session gone awry somehow. Her neck seems too thin and long, but I like the color shading that's there. Interesting perspective! I think you can add a reference pic (or any link) to the Author Comments, and it'll be clickable now. Glad to see more of your work!

There's a lot to take in, but I like it! Now that you mention it, it does look a little unplanned, but that's okay... a lot of things in life aren't, and it's visible in this piece. The perspective is all over the place and some bits don't seem like they hook up right, but the transition to them seems flawless, like it's the fault of the observer for thinking there isn't some logic to it all.

You are definitely growing as an artist. I'm rounding up from 4.65 stars to 5 :)

Butzbo responds:

Hahah, yes' I actually had the idea of having some sort of perspective with the descending bridge after I had already done some of the flat 'platforms' on the back, so I couldn't get too much of a choice.
Thanks for the review :D'

If this is an 'attempt', I wonder what a concerted effort might look like! This is exceptional work and I hope you keep drawing in the future! Being serious here, look around the Art Portal, and tell me who else can do detail like this? How long did it take to do this?

Fleshbag responds:

Thanks man, you are too kind. I don't remember how long it took, I drew it at least five years ago. Maybe five or six hours.

Some people have a stick up their ass, but this girl has a shark enveloping her whole backside!
Really innovative character design (though a bit unrealistic) and in a gorgeous setting, gotta love those post-golden hour colors! Nice job, all around!

DeliciousOrange responds:

When it comes to monstergirls, realistic is kind of out of the question.

Quite legit indeed! Looks like the tablet has a pressure sensitive thing (some of the lines look a little light). Could use a background... maybe draw one and shoehorn it in later. Nice linework and proportions, good luck figuring out the new software!

Goredorf responds:

Hey, thanks! Now that I'm learning how to layer, I think I will do just that! Yes, I found that Sketchbook Express uses the pressure sensor in the pad. Made it seem more like a real pencil to me, don't know if I'm going to keep the option on though. DEFINITELY still learning, thanks for the honest critique!

Oh no, you don't want to know what I see O_O especially in the lower right hand corner....
Hope you do another one like this, in blue or green, and in a different mood.

GTChimp responds:

Maybe I even should...
