Luckless sailor maybe :)
How awesome!! You certainly have a knack for interpreting 80's cartoon movies!
Thank you so much! Oh, I just love 80's animated films, haha they are the best!
No electrical wires on the pole with the transformer? Must have developed a new power source in this alternate reality. And to be fair, AC is a rather dystopian place anyway, as the rest of the country is now becoming.
Despite that, the illustration is a beautiful depiction of a run down area... streets and alleys look pretty clean though. For a real reference, check out pictures of NYC in the early 70's... or maybe The Warriors movie :)
Thanks for the feedback!
It's crisp, poppin' and quite attractive, despite the emaciated subject! Reminds me of an old Grateful Dead concert poster, with respect to the background. Love to see the finished T-shirt!
**Nod's** I totally see what you mean, Haven't seen a Grateful Dead poster in a long time. That brings me back man.. Thanks for your words.
Ps: had to Google "Emaciated", But thank you, I have learn a New word.
This really came out nice!
Thank you!
So insanely cute, lovingly speckled and shaded... but, and I hesitate to mention it, did you know the mushroom is kinda a phallic symbol? There were tons of illustrations from the 60's and 70's, with subliminal shroom headed things, with similar color palettes too :)
I'm aware, haha, but that doesn't stop my love for mushrooms! But thank you!
Very clever design! The eye (that's out) looks like it has an eye! Doubt that's intentional.
Not sure the top hat works, but everything else looks fine and freaky. Could use a little refinement, but much of it is a free-form character, which is created as it's drawn (from the look of it).
An eye within an eye, i guess i pulled a Bob Ross here, Inception of happy little accidents.
Yeah, as a matter of fact the top hat is there to hide a really big screw up haha, so i started thinking... damn now what would help me save this? what do people use to cover their heads? since this is a skull, it would be to forceful to start making it half-hairy, so a hat it is! and what is better than a top hat? you are right a beret! but then i realized a small top hat worked too.
Thanks man, i will try to make Clusterfuck 3 as clean as this.
That's nice! Is that a see-through skirt? How racy!
I guess an improvement would be actual drawn grass, or at least a custom picture, showing a body indentation. If this is your first digital picture, it's awesome, just keep practicing and learning layers, color removal (a tad of white around the edges) and all those other software tricks.
It is my first time thankyou for the feedback
It's exceptionally good! Only, the line art shading you did to represent the rough weave, doesn't work so well. Might look a little rough around the edges, but that tracks with the subject matter.
Don't sweat yourself so much! Imagination and uniqueness of the subject matter, mean almost as much as the image itself... especially when everyone else's creativity bucket's been depleted, and refilled with Pokemon, Mario and other re-fried, mass-media tripe.
Thanks mate, as I said, I put the line work in with it just for the hell of it, was doubting whether I should have it there at all in case it would only take unnecessary attention away from the colored one.
That's an exceptionally good looking wuf! Your range of drawing styles continues to impress! Was this done in copic markers, and on what kind of material? Dimensions? Does it include a certificate of authenticity?
Haha - dear god, can you tell how inexperienced I am with this kind of stuff?
It never even crossed my mind that there might be a certificate of authenticity to go along with 'original' works! haha
It was all drawn on standard 8.5x11" blue printer paper, sketched and shaded in blue ball-point pen, and then accented with (opaque white, black and metallic silver) markers. I actually used a blue highlighter to make the blue darker!
