So we had more than a foot of water in our basement ._.
We spent like an hour trying to bail the water out with buckets but got next to nothing done.
Gotta buy a sub-pump and flexible pvc hose to fit it... maybe run it out to a storm drain out front?

We ended up borrowing one from someone. Its been on for a few hours and everything still isn't out.

Its been raining like crazy on and off all day today and last night. It does sometimes get a little flooded down there when it rains badly but never THAT bad.
Nothing of real importance other than the hot water heater and furnace. You have to go outside to get in there so its not like we have stairs or something to go down there inside. We mainly just have Christmas lights down there though.
Just terrible. I bet all the dehumidifiers in town are sold out too. Once it drys out, how bad do you think the mold will be? A pump sprayer and a water-clorox mix sprayed everywhere would help, after the previously wetted wood drys a bit... spray and run like hell, maybe everyone leaves the house for a while with the windows open...

I have no idea. But the walls and floor are solid concrete with nothing on em so we don't have much if any wood down there except some beams and stuff ._.
Glad the beams didn't get wet!! Still, water loves to migrate. Are there pictures of how high the water got, in case something goes bad and you need to make an insurance claim?

And my dad doesn't have Flood Insurance anyways so...yeah....

Car, life and house insurance rate are high, but nothing compared to specific ones like flood, fire, earthquake... it's obscene ._. Possibly due to the increasing number of nature disasters in the world.
