A Mexican made lil cast iron 4 banger, with a cast iron head, got over 35 mph.
Seriously wish I still had that car, but Ford made some crappy ceramic plated water pump that kept leaking, no matter what (same problem with the Cavalier too, ftw). Seized the engine, and some guy bought it, replaced the water pump.... kept on going. Musta had one helluva set of rings!
It had 270,000 miles on it when I last saw it. Was the first car I took to HS. Only 4 bolts held the engine in... cracked one of them going over some RR tracks :(
Also found out what a cracked distributor cap can do... hold up half a mile of traffic outta school O_O It was a hairline crack that loved to suck in moisture. Found replacement though.

I did take a long journey in my brother's exgf's 66 Ford Galaxie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford _Galaxie#1965.E2.80.931968 She hit a 1 foot curb going about 30,35 mph - thank buddah I was a lil guy then. She whacked her head on the roof, I definately caught air in the seat..... nooo damage, even to the rim :| That thing was like Star Trek's Galaxy class starship. Massive hood, wide enough for a pro basketball player to sleep in the back seat.

Guess it all depends on the quality of the recording you made...this ain't the 90's and compression can be damn near lossless and shouldn't impact editing (that's usually the case in video, but even that cocongenitation seems to be on it's way out.

Metal dashes though, just like in my ma's Chevy Nova (and in the earlier 65, 66 Chevy II). I don't think there's a production car in the Western world nowadays, that has one bit of metal on the dash.... all plastic :|
Seem to recall ma trying to put refrigerator magnets on teh dash - only the flat ones seem to work, but the 73 Nova got so hot in summer once, air bubbles appeared in the windshield near the dash! After that she always cracked the window in summertime. Chevy NEVER made door seals so good again :( Door used to pop open before then......
The seat in that thing (Ford Galaxie 500) was as long as my bed mattress :| Soaked up the bumps pretty well, but still had this feeling of seasickness.

Co-congenitation is so too a word! If you've ever seen an old, muddy, internet video that has colored squares or weird glitching, it's from using more than one codec to render the work :|
It's like looking through a screened door that has chicken wire over it... looking though either one is fine, but through both is difficult and can (in a computer) produce some nasty effects.
Another example: Striped or fine patterns on what ppl on TV wear, can have some nasty effects, especially in front of a blue screen, though some studio cameras still have a "Z-balance" you can adjust like a white balance.

The list above is missing the OLDS Calais and the Buick Regal (I was sure you were gonna correct me!). Finding a pic of the Regal is proving to be a class 1 bitch! A buddy of mine at a junk yard gave me his 4dr Regal, but there's no pictures of one! Can't tell you how heart broke I was when Pop forbade me to put in a chevy 350 (he bought it for a dump truck, but he sold the truck then the motor) The Regal was one sweet ass ride, but the engine was waaaay to under-powered.
Once I get those 2 nailed down, I'll match them up with their GTA counterparts :)

I dunno much about cars, but I like the look of the Nova and the Maxima there.
If I didn't have to worry about gas or anything, I'd go for either a 1968 Mustang Fastback or a 1968 Ford Galaxie 500. They don't make cars anymore with the looks that they did back then.
Good eye. Yeah, both of them were easy to look at, but the Nova had the same frame as the Corvette at the time, and were equally as scary to take around corners at high speed... frame was a bit too bendy. The Datsun Maxima was just a great all around car, for a RWD straight 6.
The 'stang fastback was a damn fine looking ride. The Galaxie was almost literally a boat - great for long travels, not so hot for parking or narrow roads.
Ever since the first gulf war in 1992, gas prices have been leading the way to inflation. The new gas is just a nightmare. The alcohol filler/additive is killing cars left and right: fuel pumps, seals and damn near everything else it comes in contact with.
