you miss too many days of school up here, they issue 100$ tickets (to the parents) which go up and up... then court.
my pop missed like 80 days of school in th2nd grade - farming I guess, but they passed him on (social promotion even back then I guess)
Not down here-- Worst thing that happens is detention, and they're pretty loose on that for most people.
Yeah, that's what I had, specially sophomore year - kept hiding in barns and staking tents out back, with a few snacks and radio with headphones, maybe a book.
I had like 22 days in ISS in school suspension for days missed (they'd turn one day off into 2 days inside after a while, then 3, then outty).
Never had detention in my life. Freshman and sophmore year I missed a shitton of days.
I did once or twice... builds character n sheet
Waste of time I think; built more character in my personal endeavors and missed days than detention or any institutionalized program woulda built up for me.
