3 in the past year, suckin' my happiness away.
well the whole story behind that is
we (me and the rest of that stupid band -_-) were sitting in my cousins house and we had our instruments out and we just finished going through the set list for a show we were going to be playing i think it was either the next day or the day after. well i was bored and the others were sitting off talking amongst themselves. i decided id play around on my guitar and i played the majority of that song by myself. and then the drummer was like "hey brandon what was that you were playing" and i was like "this?" then played through what i just played and they were like hey we should make that into a song. and my cousin had me show him the guitar part
(which he never 100% learned somehow...) the bass just follows the guitar part and then the drums were made up on the spot along with the lyrics. and at following practices we ran through that song. it went by 2 other names "American Dream" and "16 Guns" but since it was my song i had the last word on any changes with it and we just kept it as "Brandon's Song" til we could come up with a name that sounded good which we never did. its actually not anywhere near done in my opinion. i once decided to go what the hell and added in a like 4 minute long guitar solo in there too...i actually recorded that but i lost it...
i also wrote the majority of "My Hands Smell Like Dead Cats" and a good sized chunk of the other songs we did but the others took credit for those but i dont really care...Brandon's Song is the only song from that band i still like playing anyways ._.
can't play "Glitter" (gay name i know...), "My Generation (Don't Deserve A Song)", or "Hillbilly Holocaust" the last one was never finished. we got the verses done but we broke up before the whole thing was done. and for our final practice we all sat down together and locked ourselves in a room together and stayed there and practiced and practiced and practiced like mad and played around with other songs we were thinking about playing for our FINAL final show
(we had 2 final shows one official and the other unofficial) and we practiced nonstop for roughly 9 hours. THEN we finally left xD
the reason we practiced so much is because we wanted to make this last show perfect and make it really count because after it was over and done with and there was and still is no going back as we have discussed we dont want the band back.

and for like the first half of the last practice we were all at each others throats because my cousin is the reason the band broke up...he HAD to say something about how he didn't like some stuff with the band and then would not shut up about it and kept complaining and complaining and complaining and got other people on his side (granted one thing i agreed on was the singing) and he just decided he'd go and do his own band with a few friends of his and as he put it
"try to find time for his other band" and he dropped that on us immediately after a show that he was starting another band. to which me and my sister got mad at him because that would seriously strain things with our band, which it did. more than he would realize ._.

that he is...you have seriously no idea how happy i am about the fact i haven't talked to him in like the past 5 months. its seriously been some of the best time of my life not having his annoying ass bugging me all the god damn time...

if my cousin was my brother i would have seriously murdered him in his sleep by now ._.
