I think I remember reading about this in Mother Jones or some other publication when it was being built. Every one of those antennas has the biggest diesel generator manufactured at the time - one local heard a contractor say a guy got fried when they turned it on :|

Almost twice the size of my farm.... a few million volts aimed at the sky. The effect could be aimed by how much juice parts of the grid gets. Nasty stuff.
