and no there isn't. its pretty much straight roads and in town theres A LOT of turns...
once the brakes AND steering went out at the same time while i was driving down the road
(but i was going like 10 mph since i was just going to the post office) and i finally got the car to stop at the post office and called my dad to come over and check it and after he did he didnt see ANYTHING wrong with it and its been fine ever since
although just to be sure we changed some of the brake lines
You gotta know your car's handling limits when you drive fast. Older cars (like the one I wrecked) are no match for modern abs and suspension systems. Most modern cars suck for handling and ride quality anyway....
That is very very strange. Was that in the Ranchero? Did the brakes go to the floor or were they hard (no assist in the master cylinder)?

Yeah shit happens... I was taking 5 friends to McD's when traffic snarled up quick. I stomped on the brakes, but with such a tiny car the brakes didn't lock. Luckily I swerved right, into a parking lot where they were getting ready to asphalt (lottsa heavy rocks). After everyone calmed down from the abrupt change, I got a cookie for my quick reflexes.
On the way back from getting my driver's license. I had to swerve left cause a ups guy almost missed his turn. Mom didn't like that maneuver and docked me a few of her awesome cookies.

I just checked wiki, and they mention it not. If there's a shaft that runs underneath the car w/ some u-bolts holding in place, it's a RWD. FWD was more of a foreign thing that later got adopted by US manufacturers, like AMC, although they did 4WD and rear wheel drive muscle cars back then.

tell me about it. i had to get rides from my sister all the time if i wanted to go somewhere before i got my license. and she was a fucking CRAZY driver. she swerved all over the road on purpose, drove like 20 miles over the speed limit ALL THE TIME, and hit things all the time.
me. i have not gotten into an accident, never hit anything, and the only time i speed is while in the ranchero and im bored and decide to crank my radio all the way up and blast metal music and floor it...around town...i nearly hit top speed in town in that...which is 85 mph O_O
