How's heating in the barn? Seems that'd be the big issue these days, over here at least electricity prices are soaring, we've had the house on around ~59F for the colder parts of winter, substantial savings in just lowering the median a few degrees.
I can't claim I follow everything in this post but it sounds like the deal still hasn't gone through yet and you're still living on the land...? It's good to hear you're surviving at least, last I heard it didn't seem anything was certain...
