IDK, the jokes and the people keep me here. The stuck up ones join NG, learn their trade, gain a following, then leave for the MSM or YT. Some people come here simply for therapy, then ghost away.

Is it? I grew up in the 1980's liking old rock n roll, prog rock, heavy metals, some forms of mass media just haven't piqued my interest enough for me to dig into it. As long as there's still people making touhou music, there's someone out there who enjoys listening to it, and that's a good thing.

Meh I could, but memes are good piled up, as not all of them are interesting or funny. A lot of the guys and gals I race with like to drop memes they find while at work or school, right after a race. Had no idea so many gamers ran 2 monitors! It's easy for them to alt-tab over to write or w/e, but the feed is live... also since it's a Friday night, we try and have as much fun as possible.
Yea think that was last year's or the year before in Spain.
I'm just here for the lolz anymore, not ready to think about who out-survives who or what.

Same amount of time on here as you. Discovered this site my freshman year of college. I have been an NG member through college, two stints in grad school, living in two states, and several jobs. Guess this has been at least one constant in my life.
Constant misery in my case ;) Just old enough to know, the work/pay/ins. climate in the US has been disastrous since 2000, for many reasons, but with few benefactors. This place sure helped when my parents and relatives passed (and the issues I had w/ em before that).
I guess getting older, it's just stacking the win/loss numbers, until you hit the big zero yerself... sure helps if you have company, how's your other half been?
So much better since the heart attack. That really fucked me up. Finally got out of therapy last month.
Those aren't fun. Were you taking blood pressure meds and cholesterol pills beforehand, and was this yours or your husbands attack? Had lots of scares and crises from my folks before they passed, mistakes made, luckily none when it was sudden. From my limited perspective, things like IBS, some heart attacks and strokes can be brought about by stress.
That and eating the same food all the time lol My poor Pop got a wonderful aortic bubble right below his heart, because he was fussing with some materials he kept outside, and he didn't want to, likely went at it w/ a pissy attitude, a sure way to get into trouble.
Another nosy question, how's the heart, close to 100%?
Had an annoying swelling above my 2 front teeth twice the past week... maybe a hair. Altered my menu a bit, still struggling with having a few bites of head lettuce and fruit each day. Definitely helping, still fat since the spine op tho :p
It was his. Took that to finally get him to quit eating crap and get off his ass every now and then.
Triglycerides are still too high, but they're still half of what they were in June. Cholesterol was 300 when they put in the stent.
At least he'll be off one of his blood thinners in July.
Simple fix for triglycerides, nuke em, they break down ez in the microwave, like 15 seconds, too many nitrates are still bad though... my sis' bae is big on big bacon and charcoaled meats. They say starch like mashed potatoes can stave off strokes, has something to do w/ the kinda starch it has, guess a lil pasta might be ok.
Dangerous to be on thinners for too long, maybe you should put him in a ding resistant wet suit, sure hope you can keep him on the straight and narrow.
