Mic's fine, you just need to record at a better bit-rate, then reduce/compress (if at all). Also try normalizing or averaging the db. A piece of panty-hose stretched in front of the mic will help reduce sharp noises; a little more distance would help too. Audacity is a good, free audio prog... Goldwave used to be my choice, but I think you have to pay for it now. A good effort, well portrayed!

I'm sure "Deserters" will come out well - you've got a Hollywood knack for pacing and shot-angles. Timing action w/ the music can be a pisser, but you've nailed it.... though I miss some of your hi-framerate zingers, like in "2 mins. of Terror" trilogy. Kudos and Aloha!
