Perfectly legit to show us hand-made and designed sculptures, plushes and such, and this one really shows a lot of talent! Hope there's extra strong stitching around the base of the tail ;)

krissalus responds:

Thanks very much! I think I'll post some more plush work, mostly custom stuff as it gets finished, since I think that would be the most interesting for people. Thanks for the compliment on Renamon, though! And yes... lots of extra stitching around that tail :P

It's amazing you did so well considering the paper (aw she's got red scratchy eyes)! It's a wonderful piece, but I wonder if the pink outline of her hair/leaf was a bit much visually, maybe not, but it's certainly a striking pose. The color shadings are amazing, but lacks a certain sense of depth (barely). I'm being completely anal of course, just trying to figure out why the current score is so low :( Maybe some finer detail to the background would've set the subject off better?

GirlGregg responds:

Thanks for the kind critique! There were just so many things that went wrong on this piece... mostly because I messed up my original entry and had to scramble at the last minute. The colors , including the line, really needed to be thought out a lot more. You're right about it needing more contrast and depth and darker linework, and probably more varied line weight as well. However, I really like the design and might try again when I have more time :) As for the low score, no worries! It's been a recent trend for Draw With Jazza cotm entries to have lower scores. The more people that enter the "better" your work has to be to get high scores! Thanks again for the help! It's nice to have a better idea of what can be improved!

I saw a glimpse of this in a video, glad you posted it here with a backstory. It really reminds me of the first political cartoons our country produced, all the way to the early 20th century. Really hope this image (with credit due) is used to illustrate the problem in the MSM.

It looks as though foreign powers have enough clout in the US to determine how they get their subsidies. I trust your paper gets a good score, this sort of funding needs to be better handled... but the money chickens have come home to roost :p

zephyo responds:

I look up to political cartoons! Really humorous yet serious. What's MSM? Ha yes, the problem isn't the lack of foreign say tho, it's the lack of foreign lower classes's say - the gov't who don't really know much are doing the talking. And thank you!!

A more loving and inclusive tribute, I have not seen. There must be about 100 NG unique characters and people in this piece. The hallmark of any good creator is attention to detail, and damn man, there are shit-tons of that! Along with that, is how well they're all laid out.. what an incredible feat :O

It's my sincerest hope, that all the people you've represented here, will know about about this, and be in awe of it all.

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Thanks for the comment. I do recognize these people but I really missed Drunkmagikoopa who is my favorite NG user back in the days.

Seriously intricate and well appointed piece, good show!

yurgenburgen responds:

thank ya m8 :D

I think it's downright lovely. The line on the inside of the elbow is a bit thick, considering how she's extending her arm. The shadow of the farmhouse might be a bit too dark, when compared to the subject and the brightness of the field... saw your gif, maybe it's just that last color filter you put over it, or just me nitpicking lol

If there were finer lines/shading and more details in places, I'd have no problem giving this a 5/5. All your work is very creative, colorful and well composed, and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future!

that-raccoon responds:

Thank you for the advice! I'll keep this in mind for the next painting I do.

See, that's why I'm fans of both of you! His lineart and your color, was like joining chocolate and peanut butter together, a really sweet deal.

GhoulKitten responds:

Aww thanks! XD

That shading is damn amazing. I'm glad you included some context into its creation in the author comments, and responded to the previous reviewer so well. Thanks for showing us your work and being honest with us!

rainwalker007 responds:

Thank you :) and it is my pleasure to share my process with the community here. Since Im still learning just like anyone else here, i believe we can learn from each a lot more then we can on our own. That what makes the Art community unique and different then any other profession out there.

Love it, it reminds me of old medieval illustrations, like 'the garden of earthly delights' or something, but in a properly clean and modern rendering. Definitely worth pursuing, this sort of thing. Also like how you covered lion-man's junk, very clever/tasteful! The 3/4 transparencies of the bone and muscle, the hand, the central figure above it all, even the background all gel nicely.

sucho responds:

thanks, it was hard. i do love me some junk, but yeah i'm a big fan of Bosch and the like. the renaissance may have given us technique, but nothing forces the hand of creativity like the primitive earthy fear-mongering of the dark ages.

You made Hillary look a little better than she is IRL. Oh well, she says, http://iwilllookintoit.com/ but isn't that just white-collar talk for 'fuck off'?

Angry-Hatter responds:

Pretty much, yeah.
